Asylum Granted
We assisted a woman from Bangladesh in securing asylum after she applied for protection on the grounds of domestic violence. She had suffered significant abuse, and after assisting her through the entire process, we were able to secure her asylum status without the need for a lengthy appeal.
British Citizenship Application
A client who had been living in the UK under an investor visa applied for British citizenship after fulfilling the residence requirements. After a detailed review of his case and submission of supporting evidence, we secured a successful application for his British citizenship.
Successful Settlement Appeal
We assisted a client with a settlement application to join their husband and father in the UK. The application had been refused on financial grounds, and the family faced significant challenges. There were five children involved in the case. However, after a successful appeal, the family was allowed to reunite, and the client was granted permission to enter the UK under family reunification rules.
Successful Extradition Appeal
A client, who had been detained and arrested by Interpol while leaving the UK for Singapore, was facing extradition to the UAE. We successfully secured their bail after several months of effort. The appeal against the extradition was successful, and the UK government’s extradition request was stopped, allowing the client to avoid deportation to the UAE.
Child: 7 Years of Residence
The Home Office had initially refused an application for a family to remain in the UK based on the child’s immigration history. However, after demonstrating that the children had lived in the UK for more than seven years, and that the parents had strong ties to the country, the appeal was successful. The client and their family were allowed to stay.
Civil Penalty Case
We represented a restaurant fined for employing migrants without valid work permits. The appeal was successful, and the restaurant’s penalty was overturned in the county court. The case demonstrated that businesses need to comply with immigration laws to avoid hefty fines and civil penalties.
Return to the UK After Removal
A client, who had been removed from the UK, was successfully allowed to return after a lengthy legal battle. The Home Office had failed to take steps to implement the tribunal’s decision, but after further legal action, the client was granted entry clearance and allowed to re-enter the UK, reinstating their immigration status after a 7-year battle.
Settlement After Nine Years Outside the UK
After a client had been absent from the UK for over nine years, we were able to secure a successful settlement application. The client had been living abroad after her appeal was allowed, but she faced resistance from the Home Office regarding her return. After a lengthy legal process, she was granted permanent settlement.
