    • Private life
    • Family members under Appendix FM
    • Children or partners of HM Forces personnel (Paragraphs 276U, 276AA, Part 4 or Part 7 of Appendix Armed Forces)
    • Asylum claims (Part 11 of the Immigration Rules)
    • Family routes under Part 8 where the sponsor is settled or holds refugee/humanitarian protection
    • Note: Even where appeals are allowed under the rules, the Home Office can certify the claim (e.g. under section 94 NIAA 2002), effectively removing the right of appeal. However, such certification can still be challenged.
